Privacy policy
Period, Privately is designed so your cycle history can stay on your iPhone. We do not operate an account system or a server that receives your cycle logs.
Information stored by the app
The app stores the information you enter, such as period dates, flow, symptoms, mood, energy, notes, profile settings, and cycle predictions, in local app storage on your device. We do not receive that information.
Apple Health
Apple Health sync is optional and requires your permission. When enabled, the app writes menstrual flow to Apple Health through HealthKit. You can change this access in iOS Settings or the Health app. Health data is not used for advertising or sold.
Purchases
Period, Privately Pro is purchased through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction. The app receives purchase status needed to unlock Pro features, not your payment-card details.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, they are scheduled on your device. You can change or disable notification permission in iOS Settings.
Backups and exports
JSON backups, Pro CSV exports, and Private Visit Briefs are created when you request them. You choose which details a Visit Brief includes, and where to save or share your files. Copies may then be handled by the destination you choose, such as Files, iCloud, or another app, under that service's privacy terms.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The app does not include an advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
Deleting your data
Delete profiles or entries in the app, or delete the app to remove its local data from your device. Files you exported must be deleted from the location where you saved them. Device or cloud backups may retain a copy according to your Apple backup settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Medical disclaimer
Period, Privately is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Cycle predictions are estimates and should not be used for contraception, diagnosis, or urgent medical decisions.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, visit our support page for current contact options. If you email support, your email address and message are shared with us and our email provider to respond to your request. Do not send cycle logs, backups, or personal health details.
